I understand the mindset of not allowing the stressors of their workload overwhelm you into a panic, but it really sucks as a customer seeing them take their sweet time walking to and from the rear of the postal office when the line is backed out of the door. It’s almost like they go take a smoke break and come back with your package 5 minutes later.

Way understaffed. Every time I come here there is only one person who is working the counter.

Also, it makes no sense that they only have one person helping customers during peak times. This is a military installation, most of us only have time to go to the post office during our lunch breaks and you can only imagine what the line looks like. I’d love to compare it to shopping center parking lots during the holiday season, but I have handicap parking.

All in all, it beats having my packages dropped off at my unit and it beats not being able to get them at all, but there are surely things that need to be adjusted at this location.

And to top it off (this is what prompted me to write about my experiences here), they are now apparently closed on Saturday but have left no way for anyone to know this. The posted signage still says open 9:30 to noon, but there's no one inside, and it took a phone call to another branch by one of the several people waiting inside to learn that they're closed Saturdays now. I went back in during the week and asked one of the clerks who told me they in fact are not closed on Saturday. So either they're open on Saturday and someone just decided they weren't going to come in to work, or they are closed Saturday and the staff doesn't even know. I don't know which is worse.

Crazy long lines, and only 1 person working the counter. Thought the USPS had gotten their act together guess I was wrong.

I’ve had next day or 2 day shipping on plenty of orders that I wasn’t able to pick up right away because the yellow slip was not placed in my box within reasonable time. (Remember, I don’t like to ask for help I.e looking up tracking numbers because they’re SLOOOWWWWWW!

There is only ever one person helping customers at a time whenever I go in to pick up or drop off. There have been times that I’ll skip asking questions about my p.o box because I don’t want to hold the line up any more than it already has been. Even with 4 people in front of me, it becomes at LEAST a 20-30 minutes wait.

As for package deliveries to a PO box, it routinely takes 1-2 days after delivery before they actually put the notice in your mailbox.

Expensive box rental. Severely understaffed. Hours might be standard for most other post offices, but for a military base with 0800 to 1700 work hours, you've basically got to get your stuff during your lunch break, or not at all.

Employees (from my experience) are very friendly but move extremely slow.

extremely rude and frankly offensive staff who act like they're doing you a favor just by showing up for work. I was dropping off a package recently and had to change something on the label, and the guy just throws his hands up in the air and rolls his eyes like I'm just ruining his whole day by asking him to do his job for five minutes. Besides this, they're terribly understaffed - there are three work terminals but I've never seen more than two people working them, and it seems that they tend to reduce this staffing to one over lunch. And this being a military installation, lunch is perhaps their busiest time of day. If you show up at noon on a workday the line will be practically out the door because there is probably only going to be a single person working a counter.
